Media covers AR Memorial for Hanging Victim

Re-enactors and Confederate groups will gather at Mount Holly Cemetery today and at MacArthur Museum on Jan. 12 to mark the 144 th anniversary of the hanging of a 17-year-old boy by Union forces occupying Little Rock.

Charles Durnett, commander of Arkansas’ Sons of Confederate Veterans, said about 100 participants plus spectators generally attend the Mount Holly event, which has been held for 28 years.
