Speaker At Charleston Reunion Heritage Event Announced

Compatriots:

As you know, a Heritage event that has been occurring at the last several Reunions became an official part of the Reunion schedule, effective at Vicksburg in 2013.  This was an important development because it allows us to utilize the event as part of our overall Heritage program.  Furthermore, it allows us to recognize the recipients of our various Heritage awards -- these people do good work and they deserve a stand-alone event to honor them!

I am pleased to announce to you that we will be honored with a special guest to offer our keynote address at this year's event in Charleston.  Our speaker will be Ben Jones, a former two-term Congressman from Georgia's 4th District.  Mr. Jones might be even better known as "Cooter" from the Dukes of Hazzard.  Perhaps of greatest interest to us is that Mr. Jones is a Compatriot and has been an asset to the SCV by using his high profile to speak up for the worth of our History and symbols.

You will not want to miss this event!  Be sure to get registered for the Reunion and make your reservation for the Johnson Hagood Heritage Dinner --
